About Us

The Tlotlego Smiles Foundation is a South African non-profit organisation based in Kuruman, Northern Cape, dedicated to the holistic development of children, families, and communities. Born from the inspiring journey of a young boy with autism and his mother’s unwavering love, the foundation creates inclusive, nurturing, and empowering spaces where every child can thrive. Guided by values of compassion, inclusion, empowerment, and innovation, we support children and families through education, mental health services, creative engagement, and life skills development.

Our core programmes: Tlotlego Graduates, Tlotlego Plays, Tlotlego Talks, and Tlotlego Learns; span from academic support and career readiness to family counselling, wellness, creativity, and inclusive schooling. By partnering with schools, universities, NGOs, and professionals, we ensure that children, youth, and their families gain access to life-changing opportunities that build resilience, unlock potential, and strengthen community connections.
